In September 2019, rosemary masic our designer took her creative team back to her motherland Croatia Hvar island to shoot our ss20 bloodlines collection. We would love to walk you through our experience. Discover why we chose our villa, our in-house Croatian chef, the secret locations for the campaign, the locals we connected with on our favourite island in the Dalmatian coast.

OUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Villa Aloadae
Managed by Villas Hvar (@villashvar)
Here at nevenka, we are drawn to art, history, stories, community, connection and most importantly, nature. Among all the villas Majda & Dalibor suggested on their website (Villa Havar), Villa Aloadae caught our eye due to its heritage feature and prime location. We chose our villa because we wanted a space for us to feel inspired, to express our creativity without holding back, to connect the past and the modern, to make magic happen. In the village of Rudine, not far from the Adriatic, Villa Aloadae's historical exterior was kept beautifully. It was raw, dishevelled, it was a journey back in time. We were surrounded by mediterranean greenery with a relaxing pool and porch, featuring beguiling interweaving of stone and wood. The rooms were connected by interesting staircase that felt like a maze of passageways satisfying our desires for wander and explore. It was truly a home away from home.

OUR CAMPAIGN LOCATIONS
1. Our Pool in Villa Aloadae
The colour palette from our ss20 bloodlines collection speaks with the blue of our villa pool and the green from the treas. The fabric and shades from nature complimented each other in the most breathtaking way.

2. Les Bains Beach Club
Ul. Dinka Kovačevića 10, 21450, Hvar, Croatia
One of the most popular beach clubs in Europe. This architectural jewel from 1927 exudes retro-Mediterranean luxury.
3. Hvar Green Market
Dolac 2, 21450, Hvar, Croatia
In Hvar town, the stalls here are mostly run by independent organic growers who locally produce their fruit and vegetables.

4. Old Town Stari Gard
The historical heart of the island is the oldest town of Hvar. Stari Gard is situated in a landscape where the blue of the Adriatic touches the green of the field as the rich orange rooftop tiles spread across. For centuries, Stari Grad was a safe harbour to sailors travelling through middle Dalmatia. Today, the modern tourist facilities in town stimulate together with the historical and cultural heritage. The narrow streets bring the whisperings of past times, which call to be discovered.
4. Mala Milna Beach
Punta Milna 3, 21450, Hvar, Croatia

Domagoj (we call him George) is the best personal driver. He will be on 24/7 stand by, pick you up and drop you off when and where you need. Whatever you need, he will make it happen. George also has a very strong historical knowledge of the island. He is truly the best on ground. We cannot recommend him enough.
